What if my neighbours are causing Anti-Social Behaviour?

What if my neighbours are causing a nuisance?

Everybody has the right to live peacefully in his or her own home and it is therefore a condition in your Seven Locks Tenancy Agreement that tenants must not cause a nuisance or annoyance to their neighbours.

Seven Locks Housing Ltd (Seven Locks Housing) is committed to working in partnership with other agencies including the police and Harborough District Council to ensure that Harborough District is a thriving, vibrant and sustainable community where people choose to live and work.

Seven Locks Housing has consulted with tenants and other agencies to review the policy and procedures in order to strengthen the way in which we deal with Anti-social behaviour. This was approved by the Board in February 2009. This will assist us to manage our housing stock and ensure our tenants, shared owners and leaseholders enjoy the basic right to use, enjoy and have security in their homes and the communities in which they live.

However we have to be reasonable in approach in dealing with complaints of anti-social behaviour and take into consideration what is reasonable e.g. undertaking DIY during the day is reasonable but undertaking the same activity during the late evening and early hours of the morning is unreasonable.
