Housing Association social rent

Housing association social rent - couple moving

Housing Associations registered with the Housing Corporation are registered social landlords providing homes for rent and shared ownership at ‘affordable’ rents rather than market rent. Councils and Housing Associations follow Rent Restructuring guidance when applying annual increases. The formula is linked to the Retail Price Index. This guidance ensures that Council Tenants and Housing Association Tenants pay similar rents for similar properties.

Seven Locks Housing is a social landlord and registered charity providing homes for people in housing need and necessitous circumstances. We are committed to offering applicants choice in where they live and the type of property they live in, providing they meet the eligibility criteria for the property.

We also provide sheltered housing and Extra Care housing which is normally let to people of the age of 60 plus. Sheltered housing enables tenants to live independently with support from a Scheme Manager and each scheme is linked to Harborough Lifeline out of normal office hours. Harborough Lifeline are able to summon help in emergency situations and operate 24 hours a day, each day of the year.

For more information on sheltered housing see our range of leaflets on the schemes we have throughout the district and the role of the scheme manager.
