It will be business as usual for customers this week as Seven Locks Housing leaves the Council Offices and sets up shop at Compass Point Business Park from Thursday 10th July.
The move to Compass Point will allow Seven Locks Housing to improve services and provide a modern and efficient housing service to customers.
Deborah Bennett, Chief Executive of Seven Locks Housing, said: “I am extremely positive about our move and see it as the start of an exciting future for Seven Locks Housing.
“We are really grateful to the Council for allowing us to share their offices in our early days but after tenants voted in favour of transfer Seven Locks Housing became an independent housing association.
“It is important that we have our own office to allow us to focus on improving the housing service we provide to our customers. Already we have introduced a number of new services which provide more ways for customers to pay their rent and report repairs.”
The new premises, opposite the leisure and health centres, will not only act as the administrative hub but are also open to customers. They are easy to get to with customer parking and are served by the regular X7 bus service. The office will be open from 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday.
Customers can now contact their landlord using the customer service number - 01858 414500 and use a new freephone number 0800 1300 365 to report a repair.
In addition, every customer now has greater choice in the way they can pay their rent. With the introduction of Allpay, there are 42 locations in the district that are part of the PayPoint scheme including convenience stores, garages and corner shops. Customers are also encouraged to use paperless direct debit.
Judith Burdett, Seven Locks Housing’s Chair of the Board, said: “It’s great to see Seven Locks Housing playing such a key role in the district. Customers will be able to see a real change and we can continue to deliver the promises we made when tenants voted for transfer.
“Tenants have been consulted on the office move and support the introduction of new services that make dealing with housing related matters convenient and easy.”
Seven Locks Housing will continue to provide a service for our customers in Lutterworth. From Monday 14 July a customer surgery will be held at the Lutterworh Service Shop on Monday and Thursdays from 9.30am -12.30pm and 1.30pm – 4.30pm. Customers are welcome to drop in.
A home visit service is available for customers who are unable to get to the office or surgery.
Seven Locks Housing was created in December 2007 following a positive ballot of tenants to transfer Harborough District Council’s 2074 homes to the new, not-for-profit housing organisation.
Since transfer, Seven Locks Housing has launched a £35 million, five-year improvement programme to modernise homes and improve communities. Work is well underway, and is already having a positive impact on local communities.
